This was my go-to bracelet for years, but I recently lost it when it popped off at security check in for a flight. Was so happy to find it again on Amazon. This new one has a safety catch - perfect! A casual, sturdy bangle with the woven design all around, it goes well with both gold and silver. The diamonds are tiny, but the squares do catch the light. Nice!

The Adam Equipment HCB 123 Highland portable conventional, or precision, balance has a capacity of 120 g and an accuracy of 0.001 g (also called readability), and offers a two-second settling time that allows for increased productivity. The balance can be operated using AC power, or with the integrated rechargeable battery for up to 24 hours for full mobility in the field and when a power supply is hard to find. This balance has an automatic internal calibration system and an overload protection that prevents damage to the weighing cell and balance if too-heavy samples are mistakenly used. Integrated RS-232 and USB ports are available to transfer data to a printer or PC using the included cables. The below-balance weighing hook suspends bulky items beneath the balance for weighing.

The balance has a backlit digital display for better readability, and it weighs in 14 different units. The automatic data accumulation option continuously stores data each time the balance stabilizes on a measurement, and application keys provide shortcut access to parts-counting or percent-weighing mode. The removable plastic draft shield prevents dust and airflow from affecting a measurement. The ABS plastic housing is durable and easy to clean and is built to withstand tough field and lab environments. A built-in security slot for locks and cables protects the balance from unauthorized use or theft. The balance can be stacked and stored on top of other Core or Highland balances that have a 120 mm diameter pan, with or without the draft shield, to save space. I purchased this on Amazon for less than I could get it from the manufacturer and free shipping too. It is exactly what I needed at a price much lower than anywhere. Duh, isn't that why we shop on Amazon in the first place? The only drawback is that the software to transfer data through the USB cable is only available through the manufacturer and cost an extra $95. For the price a real winner. It has a great hook that come out of the bottom of the scale for doing suspended weights. I needed this feature especially to enable measuring density by Archimedes' method.

Follow-up: January 31, 2013
I have used this scale for several months and it is plagued by having to keep pressing the tare button while weighing. The scale weight drifts as much as 300 mg in a day. The weight is not stable and therefore you can not trust what weights you measure with it. I could not find a way to contact the manufacturer for a fix on this problem. I have since purchased another scale as it is too late to return it to Amazon for a refund. The other scales that I also purchased from Amazon will hold their Zero whether the temperature in 90F or 30F without issue. Research my other reviews to find these products. The latest was a real nice balance, also with under-weighing hook, that holds the zero for several days so far.

I do not recommend purchasing this scale unless you plan on testing it vigorously for the first 90 days while it is still under Amazon's return policy. The best factor that it has going for it is that you can use the USB port on a computer instead of RS-232.

This ring was bought for me as a gift, and I could not be more pleased with it. It fits true to size and does not feel cheap or light. The stones are gorgeous, and pretty true to the picture color-wise but much more brilliant and stunning in person. The topaz seems to look lighter or darker depending on the light you see it in, but either way I would not trade this ring in. I love it. I have noticed on 1 of the small side diamonds there looks to be a bit of a chip/crack but nothing anyone that did not just stare at it all day would notice (I just got it last night, and have been admiring it all day,) I am not concerned about it falling out since the scuff seems superficial and no way takes away from the integrity of the ring. My only real complaint is not about the ring at all, but would be I know this was bought for me a month before Christmas while being listed as in stock, and it was not shipped or received until the end of January - possibly due to the season, but keep this in mind if you are in a rush to get it. I LOVE THIS RING, and will update this review after I have worn it for a while to let you know how it holds up to daily wear.

The cufflinks were beautiful...perfect in every way and my husband LOVED them. Major drawback, the "seat" part of the cufflink fell out the very FIRST time he wore them. He has no idea where the piece fell out, so they can't even be repaired by a jeweler. Amazon was great and set up a return right away. Unfortunately, we are hesitant to order another pair. What if it were to happen again, only 6 months down the road next time, when Amazon may not be so keen on a return. I would expect better construction for the money!
