The ring itself is beautiful, and the sizing was perfect per my order...BUT - they call it a "comfort fit", meaning that the inside of the ring that touches the finger is rounded, making it more comfortable to wear and put on/take off. When comparing the inner roundness (or theoretical radius) to expensive Burke's rings with a true "comfort fit" interior, it clearly is not as rounded (i.e. it has a larger radius), so the perceived size increase is not as great....meaning it will fit slightly tighter on your finger than you would expect from a true Comfort Fit. It has been 4 months now, and the ring is thoroughly scratched (all my fault), but the scratches are very mild and it still looks great...almost better, with that slight weathered look. Overall - a great purchase.

I purchased this ring in February for my wife for Valentines Day. When the ring arrived, I was initially very happy with the purchase. All but one of the diamonds were very clear and had the glimmer you expect from higher quality diamonds. Over the next 2 months, as my wife wore the ring daily, she started to notice that the diamond which was not clear to begin with had a crack. Over time, the crack worked it's way across the diamond until one day the diamond cracked in half and fell out of the ring. I contacted Amazon on May 13 and was told that their jewelery department would contact me withing 2-3 days to get the ring RMAed... sounds great right? Well after waiting for 1 week, I called them again and got the exact same answer... 2-3 days with an added assurance that they would really contact me this time. Another week goes by, with no further contact from Amazon. Now, I am a bit upset and I call back and insist they get the situation resolved. I waited on hold while the customer service representative spoke directly to their jewelery department. After 25 minutes, he comes back and says they will email me within the hour with instructions on how to return the ring. I then received the following email:

"Hello,

This is Donavon with the Jewelry Department of Amazon. I am sorry to inform you, but we cannot offer any refund or replacement on this item. Because it is outside the 30 day return window there is no action we can take on the matter. What I can suggest is to get the ring repair from a reputable jeweler of your choice. The repair must also be covered by your own means. We will not reimburse for the repair.

Again I apologize for the major inconvenience you are experiencing.

I have been an Amazon customer for 8 years, I own stock in the company, and I use them for virtually everything I buy online and this is the response I get for a product that was clearly flawed when delivered and failed after their "30 day return policy" ?
