Hard to give pearls a negative, especially given my infinitesimally small knowledge of gems, stones, or even jewelry on the whole. Kind of like a politician criticizing teachers, but I digress into a totally unrelated political rant. Must be election season...Anyway, my issue stems from the one-sided nature of the pendant. The pearl part (there's that expertise rearing its technological head..."pearl part" is no doubt the jargon of the trade) is pearl on one side, and a flat, almost cheesy looking spindle-designed back of the setting on the other. I assumed it would be a 360 pearl, so I was a bit disappointed that something that looks so beautiful on one side can look so unappealing on the other. Then again, maybe given the flat nature, it will tend to lay flat when worn. What the hell do I know? The earrings are beautiful all around, by the way.
Either way, my wife loves it and perhaps your significant other will, too. They are pearls after all.
