Bought this for my wife for Christmas and she loves it. Seems very well made in regards to hinges, wood finish, felt lining, etc. Just seems nice and sturdy. I don't buy too many jewelry boxes (go figure!), so I am not sure if $130 is fair but it is a long-term purchase and holds a ton more than what she had, so it is probably worth the cost. I like the fact that when opening the doors there are multiple hooks on the inside walls of the main box, maximizing the space to hang necklaces and so on. Other units I looked at did not have this feature and wasted the space on the inside doors. She made a comment on how nice the mirror was too under the top lid, so that is a plus as well. I thought it would be a bit darker, bordering on the side of black but it tends to go very dark brown encroaching on deep cherry. Hope that helps.
