I was a little bit nervous to order my wedding band on Amazon...which is silly, because I order everything else there, so I went ahead and did it! I knew exactly what I wanted--a slim platinum band; I don't have an engagement ring and I am just going to be wearing this ring--and after a lot of price comparisons I found that Amazon had the best price (beating Overstock, e-Wedding Bands, Blue Nile, etc.) I got my ring size done at a jewelry store and confirmed it using the free ring sizer you can order from Blue Nile. Then I just went ahead and ordered. The ring looks great! I keep marveling at how shiny it is. It came very fast and I can't wait to get married so I can wear it.

A couple thoughts on the online shopping process...
*I appreciated that Amazon specified the "metal stamp" and some other details so I knew I was getting platinum and not some kind of blend.
*It would be so, so helpful if Amazon would have some visuals to show exactly how thick 3 mm is...showing the ring on a finger or next to a ruler or something. I will take a picture of it on my finger to provide a visual for others. To be honest, I just looked at a few pictures online and looked at a ruler and went ahead and ordered...that's fairly easy in this case because the ring is so simple.
*The ring came in a sort of cheesy little black cardboard box (inside other packaging, of course). I know this doesn't matter at all and the ring is what matters, BUT it would still be nice to have a wedding band come in a real little velvet ring box, just because, well...it would! (we ordered my fiance's ring from e Wedding Bands and it came in a nice little velvet box).
*We did not want our rings engraved, but for those who do, I do not believe that that is possible through Amazon at least for this ring.
